GPTR Highworth Xmas Sale, Saturday November 14

Even though the weather was awful our supporters braved the wind and the rain to come and spend with us. We thank them and all the helpers too that fetched and carried, manned tables etc. and generally made it a great success.
A big 'Thank You' to you all.

We had a very enjoyable day at the Christ Church Autumn Fayre, the weather was perfect, non-stop sunshine all day, thank you to all who came, spent and said hello.

GPTR would like to thank the management of the Coventry Greyhound Stadium for enabling us to hold the raffle (at a race meeting on Saturday October 10) of which the proceeds were shared with the East Midland Greyhound Rescue and ourselves.

Greyhound & Lurcher Rally

SUNDAY 28 June - An All Breeds Companion Dog Show and Greyhound & Lurcher Rally at Longlevens Rugby Football Ground, Gloucester, GL2 9EU.

News Update September 19

Further to the generous donation from the team at Longlevens Show, we would like to acknowledge and thank Barclays Bank plc for a 'pound for pound' donation of £750.00
Our grateful thanks also to Neville Phillips for liaising with the Bank on our behalf.
We have had several successful re-homings recently and all these donations will be put to very good use in our continuing efforts to find homes for more of these beautiful dogs.
AGAIN, THANK YOU BARCLAYS BANK plc.

GPTR had a fabulous day out at the Longlevens Dog Show on Sunday. Although one should never complain about the sunny weather it turned out to be a real scorcher, apart from the occasional overcast sky which brought a very welcome breeze with it.
There was lots to see and do for everyone; so the buying and selling went very well indeed.
The children enjoyed their entertainment which came requiring various forms of required energy levels. They had great fun taking part on our tombola too as did the adults.

The highlight of the day was the Dog Show itself. It was very well attended and the entries up on last year. So with many beautiful dogs taking part and many proud owners parading their dogs afterwards, showing off lots of winning rosettes, everyone had a fantastic time.

We would like to thank the Greyhound Support Team for their very generous donation of £750. Jan and her team work so hard to make this event a success, they are Neville Phillips, Lanie Phillips and her family, Pat Burton, Jan Edwards, Graham Howell, Ian Hellier, Bob Smith, and Jan Hellier, also all the Judges and Stewards and all the stalls that attended too, they all did a wonderful job and last but not least to Jan herself (who didn't want a mention) Thank you for a wonderful show Jan. We also thank all the people and their 4 legged friends who came, spent, and supported Jan (and us) to make this show so enjoyable.
A big Thank You to you all.

holly I'm the handsome boy, seen here with the ball.
We've all had too much turkey and are feeling rather full.
Visitors came a calling and gave us all a fuss,
And of course the prezzies and mincepies were all a plus.
But what a super Christmas we've all had
Thanks to our super adoptive Mum and Dad.
No more training and racing round the tracks
So nice relaxing here, just lazing on our backs.
So thanks to the team at GPTR we are really fine,
And look forward to helping others next year in 2009.
